Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on Watford forward Joao Pedro with a view to a summer move.
The youngster has continued to show his quality in the Championship for the Hornets.
Per Chronicle Live, the Magpies have not given up on signing Pedro, who was a previous target for the club last summer.
The attacker scored in Watford's recent 2-2 draw against Coventry City.
However, the 21-year-old is likely to leave in the summer, as Watford are not in the promotion picture.
He has managed nine goals and four assists in 31 league games this term.
