Newcastle United have seen a £17.5 million bid for Joao Pedro turned down by Watford.
According to Sky Sports News, Watford are not willing to sell the attacker.
The 20-year-old scored for the club in their first Championship game of the season against Sheffield United.
He has played all three league games for the club so far this term.
The Brazilian has been with Watford since January 2020, scoring three goals in 28 league games last term.
It is unclear if Newcastle will come in with another offer, or move on to a different target.
