WATSONS has appointed Caryn Loh as Regional Managing Director for Health & Beauty Asia, effective June 1, as part of its efforts to strengthen regional coordination and drive growth across key Asian markets.

In her expanded role, Loh will continue serving as Regional Exclusives Director for Watsons International while overseeing the company’s strategic direction and operations in Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.

The appointment highlights Watsons’ commitment to enhancing its position as a leading health and beauty retailer in the region amid evolving consumer trends and increasing demand for innovative retail experiences.

Loh brings more than 21 years of experience with the company, having held various leadership positions that contributed to Watsons’ growth and commercial success.

Under her new responsibilities, Loh is expected to focus on improving customer experience, accelerating innovation and expanding Watsons’ portfolio of exclusive products across its regional markets.

The company said these priorities are aligned with its broader strategy of strengthening its health and beauty ecosystem throughout Asia.

Watsons has garnered numerous industry accolades during Loh’s tenure. In 2025, the retailer received the Putra Brand Icon recognition and secured the Platinum Award at the Putra Brand Awards, marking its 15th consecutive year of recognition for consumer trust and brand excellence.

The company was also named “Brand of the Year” in the Health & Beauty category at the World Branding Awards 2025–2026.

Loh has likewise received several personal honours, including the World Outstanding Women CEO Leadership Excellence Award in 2025.

She was also recognised among AFFIN INVIKTA Malaysia’s Top 30 Women of Excellence in 2024 and received the Executive of the Year – Retail Award at the Malaysia Management Excellence Award.

Commenting on her appointment, Loh said she was honoured to assume the expanded role during a period of significant transformation within the regional health and beauty sector.

“Together with our talented teams, we will continue to innovate, strengthen our customer connections and deliver meaningful value to the communities we serve,” she said.

Watsons also expressed appreciation to its customers, business partners and stakeholders for their continued support as the company pursues long-term growth and expansion across Asia.
