Watsons Malaysia transforms KLIA2 outlet into the country’s first beauty and health retail destination for international arrivals, supporting Visit Malaysia 2026.

WATSONS Malaysia has strengthened its support for Visit Malaysia Year 2026 through a strategic collaboration that transforms its outlet at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) into the country’s first “Beauty & Health Retail Destination” for international arrivals.

The initiative was officiated by Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Chiew Choon Man, alongside Watsons Malaysia Managing Director and Health & Beauty Asia Chief Operating Officer, Caryn Loh marking a milestone in public-private collaboration to enhance the visitor arrival experience.

As one of the first retail touchpoints for travellers entering Malaysia, the KLIA2 Watsons outlet will feature curated product selections, exclusive promotions and immersive cultural elements aimed at showcasing the nation’s identity while elevating the overall tourism experience.

Speaking at the launch, Chiew commended the partnership and highlighted the importance of private sector involvement in strengthening Malaysia’s tourism offerings.

“Strategic partnerships such as this demonstrate how the private sector can play an important role in enriching the overall visitor journey.

“By introducing a dedicated retail destination that highlights Malaysian products and culture, Watsons is helping to create a welcoming first impression for travellers arriving in our country,” he said.

The initiative forms part of Watsons Malaysia’s broader commitment to supporting the Government’s tourism agenda by integrating the health and beauty retail sector into the national tourism ecosystem.

Among the key activations is the Watsons “One Pass” initiative, which enables international Watsons members to enjoy local member privileges when shopping in Malaysia.

The programme allows users to access member pricing, exclusive discounts and reward points across participating Watsons stores globally, including online platforms.

The promotions will also align with national campaigns such as the Malaysia Mega Sale, encouraging higher tourist spending while supporting the growth of the local retail sector.

To further enhance the travel experience, selected outlets will introduce creative travel stamps and interactive elements, offering visitors a more engaging and memorable retail journey throughout their stay in Malaysia.

“Watsons Malaysia is truly honoured to be part of this meaningful initiative in support of Visit Malaysia 2026.

“As a trusted health and beauty retailer with a strong presence across the region, we are proud to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in creating a welcoming retail destination for travellers arriving in Malaysia.

“Through this initiative, we hope to showcase a one-stop destination for quality health and beauty products and the richness of Malaysian culture and the innovation of our local brands selections to visitors from around the world,” she said.

She added that Watsons remains committed to going beyond retail by supporting initiatives that strengthen Malaysia’s tourism ecosystem while creating memorable experiences for travellers.

As part of the transformation, Watsons outlets, particularly at KLIA2, will feature festive decorations, cultural displays and interactive installations inspired by Malaysia’s heritage, offering travellers a glimpse into the country’s traditions upon arrival.

A dedicated “Tourist Must Have” zone will also be introduced to spotlight Malaysian beauty and wellness brands, providing international visitors with easier access to locally made products while promoting homegrown innovation.

With the collaboration, Watsons Malaysia positions itself not only as a leading retailer but also as a strategic partner in promoting Malaysia as a vibrant and welcoming global travel destination.
