Watsons Philippines highlights motherhood, wellness at Mom and Baby Experience Hub

Mothers and young families took center stage this week as Watsons Philippines launched its Mom and Baby Experience Hub at SM Mall of Asia ahead of Mother’s Day celebrations.

The weeklong event, running from May 8 to 14 at the mall’s Main Atrium, brings together wellness services, parenting consultations, interactive activities and baby care brands in a space designed to support mothers through different stages of parenthood.

The experience hub features themed activity zones, including “Every Chapter in a Frame,” where mothers and families can capture milestone photographs, and “Grown Up Milestones,” where parents can write letters to their future selves or children.

A play pen area was also set up for children, allowing parents to participate in activities and consultations while their children play nearby.

Interactive booths and product showcases from participating brands such as Watsons Baby, Aveeno Baby, Cetaphil Baby, Johnson’s Baby, Mustela, Physiogel, Drypers and Baby Dove are also featured throughout the venue.

“At Watsons, we see motherhood in its most honest form. It is made up of everyday moments — early mornings that start before the sun is up, sleepless nights that stretch into long days, and quiet moments in between where a mom is simply doing her best,” said Aika Tacub, senior category manager for health business at Watsons.

Tacub said the company aims to support mothers not only through baby care essentials but also through programs that encourage self-care and wellness.

Visitors to the event can access free hairstyling and manicure services, while parents may also consult pediatricians through Watsons’ partnership with ELUVO.

Watsons said the experience hub also offers expert consultations, interactive brand activations and product discoveries tailored to different stages of motherhood.

Special activities lined up for the Mother’s Day weekend include the “Mom & Baby Live Portrait,” where mothers and babies can have hand-painted portraits created by artists on site; the “Dear Mom Flower Bar,” where moms can create personalized mini bouquets; and the “Diaper Bag DIY Charms” station, where mothers can customize accessories for diaper bags.

Promotional offers and discounts on mom-and-baby products are also available during the event.

Christine Deus, senior category manager for health business at Watsons Philippines, said the company hopes to make wellness support more accessible for Filipino families.

“At Watsons, that is what matters most to us — not just being a place you visit, but being someone you can rely on. From everyday essentials to trusted advice, we are here to support you in ways that are simple, helpful and easy to access,” Deus said.

Watsons also encouraged customers to access its mom-and-baby products through its mobile app and online store, which offer services such as Click & Collect and Express Delivery.

The retailer currently operates more than 1,200 stores nationwide and is part of the A.S. Watson Group, an international health and beauty retailer operating across 30 markets.
