Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has dismissed PBS Vice-President Arthur Sen’s comments on electoral cooperation, calling them irrelevant, unnecessary, and lacking value for mature political discourse.

“I read Arthur’s laughable statement attempting to challenge and belittle Umno Sabah’s autonomy in election matters,” Bung said in a statement.

Bung said Umno Sabah operates with autonomy and maturity, understanding the meaning of unity not just at the federal level but also at the state level.

We are not following the panic of our opponents — those who fought yesterday, pose for photos today, and stab each other again tomorrow,” he added.

He said Arthur is “a relatively unknown leader” who is suddenly trying to act like a strategy lecturer to Umno.

“Umno-BN knows what needs to be done. We don’t need anyone — including PBS, which is ‘renting space’ in GRS — to challenge us or offer unsolicited advice. We know when to act, who to work with, and when to stand alone,” Bung said.
