PKR election committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa dismissed claims of 'hidden hands' in the recent division-level polls held across its chapters in seven states.
"We have auditors in place who have been monitoring the entire polling process.
"So far, based on what I've observed throughout this polling process, I haven't seen any signs of the so-called 'hidden hands'.
"We've been monitoring everything closely. If you ask me personally, as the chairman, as well as the members of the party election committee, we don't even know who the 'chai', the leaders, or which teams they belong to are," she said as reported.
However, Dr Zaliha said she is not dismissing the allegations entirely and that the committee will look into every complaint or dissatisfaction raised by members.
"We urge any members who are dissatisfied with the results or any aspect of the process to submit their complaints through our official platform," said Zaliha, who is also the minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories).
It was earlier reported that several PKR divisions experienced situations where the team leader's nominee for division chief was defeated, even though nearly all other team members were successful.
Conversely, there were also cases where a team leader secured a win despite most of their team losing. – April 17, 2025
