Cigarettes have been declared Haram since 1995

A netizen shared on X (formerly Twitter) how they boldly moved cigarettes to a section typically reserved for items intended for non-Muslims.

The caption of the post reads,

“In another development, Isetan KLCC has moved cigarettes to the non-halal section.”

Given that cigarettes have been declared Haram since 1995, their decision not only demonstrates a commitment to encouraging Malaysians to refrain from smoking but has also garnered praise from many online.
