Kota Kinabalu: Muslims going to suraus or mosques have been encouraged to wear face masks.

Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jheains) Director Jumain Abd Ghani said this in the notices distributed in all mosques and suraus in the State.

“The notice was issued in light of the worrying Covid-19 infection index,” he said.

He hoped surau and mosque committees would coordinate wearing face masks to curb the spread of Covid-19.
