Kota Kinabalu: Tanjung Aru Eco Development Executive Director Datuk Ismail Abdullah said holding “car boot” sale is another effort by the management to make the beach destination a mainstay of the local community.
It is held every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 10pm and provides business opportunities for young entrepreneurs, petty traders and housewives which can bring extra income.
“Bring your own shopping bags or trolleys, tumblers, food containers and even umbrellas if necessary. We are going eco-friendly all the way,” said Ismail.
“Car boot sales are very popular in western countries. Visitors can get good quality pre-loved items, rare antiques or collectibles at very affordable prices,” said organiser Mustazza Ardimanshyam Othman
The car boot sale would be operational on a short-term basis until the Tanjung Aru Eco Development project takes off.
