Malaysia generally has an efficient and widespread system of healthcare, operating a two-tier health care system consisting of both a government-run public healthcare system funded by taxpayers, alongside with private healthcare providers which complements the public healthcare services through the health insurance. The improvements in the last 10 years are significant enough to be on par with developed countries, comprising of both highly trained medical staff and excellent hospital facilities. The quality of doctors, surgeons, and other medical staff do not differ between public or private hospitals.

Alhamdulillah (thanks to Allah) and the economic growth providing development of healthcare in Malaysia with progressive living conditions, improved hygiene and increased awareness, humans are living longer than before. However, a longer life may not necessarily spell a better life if we do not enjoy good health & vitality. Ageing is an inevitable part of life, but choosing a healthy lifestyle can make a big difference in a the way we look, think and feel. Regular health screenings at the hospitals are important part of preventive health because they lead to early detection and treatment of chronic diseases. (www.moh.gov.my)
