West Ham boss David Moyes had no complaints after their 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.
City cruised to victory via goals from Nathan Ake, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
Moyes later said, "I thought we did a good job in the way we tried to set up and frustrate them. To concede a set piece against them was difficult. That was the gut-wrenching thing.
"Organisation was key. The players gave everything to hold on and we had a bit of good fortune. I thought we did really well in the first half.
"I don't think it was anything to do with the last month. It has been a testing period for Manchester City too. We've had an incredible period and hopefully, there's more to come.
"There were a lot of things we didn't enjoy tonight. They had all the possession and when that happens we have to defend well.
"When we won the ball we didn't keep it well enough. We gave it away terribly for the second goal when Haaland scored, we'd kept him quiet prior to that."
