West Ham United have launched a bid for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
BBC Sport says West Ham have failed with a 20m offer for the England international.
United have rejected the bid for the defender.
Maguire is on 200,000-a-week at United and will have to accept a major pay-cut to move to the Hammers.
West Ham are expected to return with an improved bid next week.
