Napoli have rejected an opening offer from West Ham United for Piotr Zielinski.
The Poland international is wanted by the Hammers after they were beaten by Nottingham Forest to the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Sportitalia says West Ham's opening bid of €25m has been rejected.
Napoli are willing to sell, though are insisting on €35m plus bonuses of €5m to part with Zielinski.
The 28-year-old scored eight goals and provided five assists in 42 competitive games in Serie A last season.
