West Ham are a step away from signing Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd.
The London Evening Standard says Aguerd is set to undergo a medical at West Ham.
Aguerd's move from Rennes had been held up as he has been with Morocco over the past fortnight for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers. He has now travelled to London and could even be formally unveiled as a West Ham player by the end of the week.
West Ham are set to pay around £20m plus bonuses for the left-sided defender.
