West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse is surprised by his latest England omission.
Ward-Prowse feels he couldn't do anything more to earn a place in Gareth Southgate's squad.
"I am my biggest critic," the 29-year-old midfielder said. To qualify for the national team you have to play regularly and well. I meet the requirements, but in the end the call did not come"
However, Ward-Prowse says he can live with Southgate's decision.
I do what I can for West Ham and that's what I focus on. I'm really enjoying it here," he concludes.
