West Ham United are making a late move for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez.
The Mexico international is leaving Ajax this summer and has been in talks with Borussia Dortmund.
BVB see Alvarez as a replacement for Real Madrid bound Jude Bellingham/.
However, the Guardian West Ham are moving for Alvarez, 25, as a replacement for club captain Declan Rice.
Ajax want 45m to sell the midfielder.
Portugal midfielder Joo Palhinha, of Fulham, is also an option for West Ham.
