West Ham United have opened talks with Hertha Berlin for Santiago Ascacíbar.

Argentine journalist Adriano Savalli is reporting the Hammers have opened "formal talks" with Hertha for Ascacibar.

In addition, clubs from Italy and Spain should also express interest.

Hertha are prepared to sell Ascacibar for €12m this summer.

They have already signed a replacement in Ivan Sunjic, who has arrived on-loan from Birmingham City.
