West Ham United are ready to spend big to land Bayer Leverkusen star Victor Boniface.
The Nigeria international has been watched by Chelsea and Newcastle United.
But The Sun says West Ham aim to burn off all rivals by making a club record bid for Boniface.
Hammers' technical director Tim Steidten is driving the move, having previously worked at Bayer.
Boniface has impressed this season since arriving last summer from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.
