West Ham are readying a bid for Sheffield United defender John Egan.
The Sun says they will make a £12million move to sign Egan in January.
Republic of Ireland centre-back Egan was a top target for Hammers boss David Moyes before the last window shut but the Championship club refused to deal.
Moyes tried and failed to sign other centre-backs at the 11th hour and eventually missed out.
He still has that need, however, and will revisit the deal in January.
