What’s the schedule for Notting Hill Carnival 2026 – and how can I get there?

  • Notting Hill Carnival returns to West London over the August bank holiday weekend from 29 to 31 August 2026.
  • Saturday - Saturday sees the Panorama Steel Band competition to crown the best from a ten-minute pan composition.
  • Sunday - Sunday is known as the “family day” with a children’s parade, Dutty Mas and live sound systems. The carnivals’ opening ceremony starts at 10am at MAS Judging Point, while J’Ouvert – the traditional celebration to ring in the carnival – is back, starting at Sainsbury's by Canal Way Roundabout from 6am.
  • Monday - Bank Holiday Monday sees the carnivals’ Adults Day from 10.30am, featuring both the traditional parade and carnival party.
  • Nearest tube stations - The nearest stations within walking distance are: Paddington, Shepherd’s Bush, Notting Hill Gate, Royal Oak, Westbourne Park, Holland Park, Kensal Green and Kensal Rise. Ladbroke Grove Tube station will be closed on both days, and some stations will be exit only between certain times.
