- This marks the second national test of the system, which has been used five times for real warnings, including during Storm Eowyn, Storm Darragh, and for an unexploded Second World War bomb in Plymouth.
- The system is designed to deliver targeted, life-saving advice during emergencies, such as severe weather or flooding, to specific at-risk communities.
- Pat McFadden, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, emphasised the system's vital role in national safety, and users can opt out of alerts via their phone settings.
