- KLM has cancelled over 150 European flights, including 80 return journeys from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, for the upcoming month.
- The airline stated these flights are "currently no longer financially viable to operate" due to soaring jet fuel costs, which have increased since the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran.
- KLM clarified that the cancellations are a cost-saving measure, not a result of a jet fuel shortage, and represent less than one per cent of its European flights.
- Affected passengers will be rebooked onto the next available flights, with those travelling to London and Düsseldorf expected to be accommodated swiftly.
- Separately, KLM has also cancelled all flights to and from Dubai until 14 June, and to Riyadh and Dammam until at least 16 May, citing "uncertainties" in the Middle East.
