Recently, several places across Malaysia have been struck with flash floods and storms, including in Penang where high tides further contributed to the natural disaster and caused chaos.

They wrote, “The condition following the huge waves in Penang this afternoon. When nature ‘returns gifts’ back to us.”

In the images showcased, insane amounts of rubbish could be seen left behind by the high tides, including countless plastic bottles, and even shoes and slippers.

While it is truly saddening to see the amount of rubbish humans are leaving behind, we’re a little glad that there’s now a tiny portion less of it in the sea.

What do you think will make Malaysians strictly stop littering? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
