  • Fuel prices in the UK are expected to fall in the coming days, following significant increases caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
  • The RAC predicts that the price of both petrol and diesel will drop by 'several pence' per litre in the short term.
  • As of Tuesday, average pump prices stood at 158.3p per litre for petrol and 191.5p per litre for diesel.
  • Since the conflict began on 28 February, petrol prices have risen by 25p per litre and diesel by 49p per litre.
  • The RAC Foundation estimates that motorists have collectively paid an additional £1.2 billion in fuel costs due to these price rises.
