  • Britain is forecast to experience its fourth heatwave of the summer, with temperatures potentially reaching 35C this week, according to BBC Weather.
  • Following long-awaited rainfall in the north and north-west this weekend, hot and dry conditions are expected to return to much of England and eastern Wales.
  • Met Office chief meteorologist, Dan Suri, said: “For much of southern England, dry conditions are expected to remain the dominant feature, with temperatures recovering quickly next week and the potential for very warm or locally hot weather to return.”
