In June 2019, a video of 2 male individual filmed engaging in sexual acts with a man resembling a cabinet minister made its round on the internet.
What startled the country was one of the men in the video made a public confession and admitted one of the men in the video was him.
Saying that the video was recorded on May 11, 2019 without his consent, the man who made the confession and revealed his name as Mohd Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz also claimed that the other person in the clip is a Minister in the Pakatan administration governing the country. He sent further shockwaves when he openly urged the MACC to investigate the minister for alleged corruption.
At the time when he made the confession, he was only 27, Youth Chief for PKR in Santubong, Sarawak and is the senior private secretary to Primary Industries Deputy Minister.
Commenting then, PM10, himself a victim of smear campaigns in the past, called for a rejection of such gutter politics.
The then PM7, when asked about the video that went viral said Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz made a deliberate move in confessing his involvement in the matter and he does not appear to be ashamed and even said he did it with a minister.
In January 2020, the Attorney General said no one will be prosecuted in connection with the viral videos as identification, authentication and face recognition analysis, done both locally and abroad, could not be conclusively made.
But Mohd Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz was not so fortunate.
Firstly, he was sacked from his job as Senior Private Secretary to Deputy Minister of Primary Industries on 3 July 2019. Then, he was sacked from PKR on 3 July 2019. And he was investigated over 4 alleged offences including one under Section 377B of the Penal Code for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature and Section 292 for distributing obscene materials.

It is imperative that the authorities unearth and charge all the masterminds behind Mohd Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz. Otherwise, the same people could be producing and publishing and make viral a video on another politician under the present unity government.
This type of gutter politics should have stopped and ceased with Mohd Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.
