
Singapore celebrates a historic milestone in 2025—60 years of independence (SG60) on 9 August—with grand festivities across the nation. If you don’t have tickets to the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 or are making a special trip from Malaysia to experience the celebrations, don’t worry: we’ve got you covered. Here are the best free spots to catch the fireworks and rooftop venues offering front-row views of the spectacle.
NDP 2025 sees the show expanded to the Padang and Marina Bay. Before the main event, rehearsal and preview sessions will take place on certain days, and the SG60 party moves to Singapore’s heartlands on 10 August.

NDP 2025 rehearsals and preview dates
The National Day Parade 2025 rehearsals and previews fall on:
- Rehearsals: 28 June, 5, 12, 19 July
- Previews: 26 July, 2 August
- National Day Parade: 9 August
There will be fireworks on the rehearsal and preview days. They are expected to start around 8pm.
Where to watch the NDP 2025 fireworks for free
The best spots to view the National Day Parade 2025 fireworks for free are:
- The Promontory
- Collyer Quay
- Esplanade
- Helix Bridge
- Merlion Park
- Open-air area in front of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
- The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay
- Singapore Sports Hub
- Bayfront Event Space
- Marina Barrage
These areas will be crowded during NDP 2025, so plan ahead.

NDP 2025 live screenings
Live National Day Parade 2025 screenings will also be expected throughout Marina Bay. Visitors can catch the SG60 action at:

- Bayfront Event Space
- The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay
- Marina Barrage
- Singapore Sports Hub
There will also be interactive booths and activities around the NDP 2025 screening zones.
NDP Heartland Celebrations
The party continues on 10 August at the NDP Heartland Celebrations. The festivities will be held at five community sites across the island. Expect a showcase of Singapore’s military might, drone shows, fireworks, family-friendly activities, and performances.
The five community sites are:
- Central Singapore District – open field beside Bishan Junction 8
- North East District – open field next to One Punggol
- North West District – open field next to FutsalArena @ Yishun
- South East District – open field beside Wisma Geylang Serai
- South West District – Bukit Gombak ActiveSG stadium
Additionally, The Mobile Column to the Heartlands is making a return since 2020. The column includes assets from the Singapore Armed Forces, Home Team, and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). They will travel along five routes and make their way towards the Heartland Celebrations.

Rooftop restaurants and bars to catch the action
If you prefer your NDP 2025 celebrations with some food and drinks, head to the venues below. Masterchef Singapore 2023 winner Inderpal Singh has a rooftop restaurant with views of Singapore’s skyline and a satay buffet every Saturday until 9 August. El Chido at Pullman Singapore Hill Street is throwing a pool party under the fireworks on National Day. On Esplanade’s rooftop, Baia has free-flow lobster kueh pie tee and mala pizza, and Super Loco Customs House turns Mexican and Singaporean cuisines into dishes like chilli crab tacos and pandan churros. Esplanade has views of both Marina Bay and the Padang, and Baia offers both vantages from up high. On National Day, the rooftop venue has free-flow canapes such as lobster kueh pie tee, mala pizza, and chilli crab waffles, as well as live stations serving Japanese oysters and truffle cacio e pepe. Every Saturday in July, El Chido is throwing the NDP Fiesta in the Sky (S$25++ per person) featuring one drink, access to the rooftop pool, and unblocked views of the parade rehearsals. From Monday to Friday, the Mexican joint also serves the Viva SG Rooftop Set (S$60) with chicken rice chimichanga, breaded fish otah tortilla, and two cocktails of your choice.

Masterchef Singapore 2023 winner Inderpal Singh has a rooftop restaurant with views of Marina Bay, and for NDP 2025, he is serving a free-flow satay buffet. There are four meat options to choose from – chicken, beef, tandoori lamb, and Iberico babi pongteh – each spotting a different marinate and condiment. For vegetarians, there is the chayote lemak chilli padi satay, and a la carte options are also available throughout the evening.
