Perlis, the smallest state in Malaysia, is located in the northern part of the country, bordering Thailand. Despite its size, Perlis is rich in natural beauty, cultural heritage, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. During my visit, I had the opportunity to discover some truly captivating spots that showcase the charm of this peaceful state. Below are four attractive places I visited in Perlis that are worth exploring.

1. Tasik Melati Recreational Park

Tasik Melati is a tiny lake that occupies 10 hectares and is 8 kilometres north of Kangar Town. The 4.5-hectare lake is situated in a peat-land environment.

The lotus blossom floating on the lake is the source of Jasmine Lake's name. Additionally, wooden and concrete bridges span the lake's tiny islets, enabling tourists to traverse the water and take in the expansive vistas. The pavilions are ideal for leisure and photography because of their elaborate carvings, which mirror the local architectural style.

2. Wang Kelian Viewpoint

Many residents and tourists frequently visit the Wang Kelian Viewpoint to take in Perlis' breathtaking splendour. The breathtaking view of the carpeted clouds that envelop the expansive Perlis landscape makes this place attractive. I enjoyed climbing up the hill to enjoy the refreshing wind and breathtaking sights.

3. Gua Kelam

Gua Kelam is a limestone cave that is well-known for its unique rock formations. The captivating interior in the cave may be explored by tourists through a long, narrow tunnel with a well-lit wooden boardwalk. In the cave, there are distinctive rock textures, tall stalactites and stalagmites, and a subterranean river that was once essential to tin mining. The entrance to the cave is framed by rich flora, making for a stunning perspective. After the underground journey, tourists may unwind in the serene park area that greets them at the exit. Gua Kelam will be a suitable place for adventure lover.

4. Rainbow bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is a colourful and striking landmark which is painted in a rainbow-like array of vibrant colours. The bridge offers tourists a picturesque pathway with lovely reflections of the sky and lake. Its vibrant architecture makes the park a bright and energetic touch, making it a must-visit location for everyone hoping to take in breathtaking vistas and unwind with a leisurely walk.
