- The remote Scottish island of Ulva will be closed to tourists on Sundays this summer following an "unprecedented" surge in visitors.
- The increase in tourism is attributed to the island featuring in a BBC Scotland interior design programme, Banjo and Ro's Grand Island Hotel.
- With only 16 residents, the island's small community and businesses are struggling to cope with the increased footfall.
- The on-demand foot passenger ferry connecting Ulva to Mull will not operate on Sundays during June, July, and August.
- Exceptions will be made for visitors with pre-booked accommodation on the island, who will still be assisted across from Mull.
