- Actor David Krumholtz has announced “an indefinite break” from acting after 30 years in the profession, which he said has “lost its gleam”.
- The 48-year-old Oppenheimer and Santa Clause star wrote on Threads: “Not sure what I’m going to do for money instead, or how I’m going to do it, but I just removed a humongous burden, one that I truly didn’t fathom the weight of until it was gone. Frustrated, fed up, fried.”
- Krumholtz clarified he is “not quitting entirely”, adding: “Just taking a bit of a step back and an indefinite break. The stress of the moment has me wondering if there’s a higher calling to pursue.”
- He has since appeared to delete the posts. The Independent has contacted Krumholtz for comment.
- His acting career has spanned television and film, including roles in 10 Things I Hate About You, ER, The Deuce, and the recent film Supergirl.
