
- Former employees and certain creditors of BrewDog’s collapsed retail division are expected to receive no money following the firm’s administration due to a lack of available funds.
- American drinks company Tilray previously bought the BrewDog brand, intellectual property, UK breweries and 11 bars in a £33 million rescue deal, which forced the closure of 36 venues and nearly 500 redundancies.
- Administrators AlixPartners confirmed that around £489,000 is owed in retail employee wage arrears and holiday pay, alongside £2.4 million owed to HMRC for unpaid VAT, with neither preferential creditor group expected to be paid.
- The takeover and administration process rendered the equity of around 200,000 crowdfunding investors completely worthless.
- BrewDog PLC owes approximately £190 million to unsecured creditors, who are expected to receive less than a penny in the pound on their claims.
