- Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has playfully offered actor Jesse Eisenberg military training to help him secure the next James Bond role.
- It came after Eisenberg, who recently became a Polish citizen, made a joke on The Tonight Show that Poland had a policy of mandatory military training for men.
- Tusk clarified that the training is voluntary and invited Eisenberg to Poland to take part, saying: “We’ll give you such a training that, the next James Bond role? It’s yours!”
- Eisenberg’s recent film, A Real Pain, was set in Poland, and he said that receiving Polish citizenship due to his heritage was the “honour of a lifetime”.
- Tusk's government is planning to expand military training for reservists due to the war in Ukraine, aiming for 100,000 volunteers annually from 2027.
