Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said the party will not compromise with leaders who betray its struggle, following Datuk Shahelmey Yahya’s move to review his Umno membership status.

He said Shahelmey’s suspension was not due to his support for Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor but his act of betraying the party’s mandate.

It was reported that Shahelmey intends to verify his Umno membership status, stating that his checks with the party’s headquarters show he is still an active member.

However, he acknowledged that Sabah Umno had announced his suspension, which he plans to clarify at a later time.
