Wigan Athletic are moving for released Arsenal midfielder Matt Smith.
Smith is a free agent after coming off contract yesterday at Arsenal.
The Sun says Wigan are now making an approach to Smith. The midfielder captained the Under-21 team at Arsenal last season.
He previously had loan spells away at Swindon, Charlton and Doncaster.
