LAHAD DATU: Dozens of residents in Kampung Desa Bajau witnessed the live action of the Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) "defeating" a giant crocodile on Monday night.
The monster reptile weighing about 1.2 tonnes and almost five meters long was captured by APM personnel under a house.
However, the APM said their team failed to entangle the crocodile as it was too large and aggressive.
The crocodile also almost attacked a child who was on the scene to watch the operation.
APM later contacted the Lahad Datu Wildlife Department for assistance who later fired seven shots to kill the crocodile.
