Being an Anak Malaysia means human friendship with animals which involves deep emotional bonds will benefit both mental and physical health. Dogs and Cats are household pets form strong attachments similar to family members. As a Kampung Boy, I've experienced interacting with pets lowers stress, reduces anxiety & improves heart health. Social support with animals provide unconditional love & combat loneliness. I observed people sometimes bond with wild species through patience, rescue & trust. These mutual respect connections prove that compassion bridges the gap between human & nature.
On the eve of our 69th National Day, my family and I revisited Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park, the home to over 150 species from around the world, that offers an immersive experience for my young grandkids where education meets adventure. From engaging Wildlife Encounters that encourage curiosity to informative shows at the Wildlife Theatre, interactive moments like feeding sessions at the Pet Village, and the dedicated care provided by behind the scenes Wildlife Hospital - every episode of the show sparks discovery, connection with nature, and meaningful learning for all ages, especially children.
I noticed at Sunway Theme Parks, animal care goes beyond guest experience. Its veterinary teams at Wildlife Hospital in Sunway Lagoon provide expert care, enrichment, and rehabilitation as part of their commitment to conservation and education, ensuring every creature in their care thrives. My grandkids came face-to-face with the powerful, majestic tigers! The icy blue-eyes beauties “White Tigers, Samson & Sumi”. The young guests: Iffah, Ilfi, Fayyadh & Ilyan had the rare chance for a first-hand look at the exotic pair against their borderless glass enclosure as they live out the leisurely life of baby tigers.
I understand from the warden that the future of Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park focuses heavily on conservation breakthroughs, upgraded immersive guest experiences, and sustainable park operation. As for the living classrooms, upgraded programs will turn the zoo into a premier education hub for schools.
