I will find you season 2

I Will Find You wraps up its story by uncovering the truth behind Matthew’s disappearance and clearing David Burroughs’ name after years of wrongful imprisonment. After a dangerous investigation exposes the conspiracy surrounding Matthew’s kidnapping, the series brings long-awaited closure to the family’s ordeal. However, because the ending leaves several characters moving into new chapters of their lives, some viewers are wondering whether the story could continue. As audiences reflect on the finale, the question remains: Will I Will Find You return for season 2? Here’s everything we know so far.

Based on the 2023 novel of the same name by Harlan Coben, the series follows David Burroughs (played by Sam Worthington), a man serving a life sentence for the murder of his son Matthew. After evidence emerges suggesting that Matthew (played by Ashton Cressman) may still be alive, David escapes prison and embarks on a desperate search for the truth.

The cast also includes Britt Lower as Rachel Mills, Milo Ventimiglia as Hayden Payne, Erin Richards as Cheryl Dreason and Logan Browning as Sarah Greer.

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding season 2 of I Will Find You.

Moreover, the thriller series concludes by resolving its central mystery and bringing its key character arcs to a satisfying stopping point. The truth about Matthew’s disappearance is revealed, David’s innocence is established, and the people responsible for the crime are exposed. The story does not end with a major cliffhanger that would require an immediate continuation.

What happens at the end of I Will Find You?

In the finale, David, Rachel and FBI agent Sarah Greer uncover the truth behind Matthew’s disappearance and finally track him down after years of believing he was dead.

The investigation reveals that Hayden Payne kidnapped Matthew after mistakenly believing the boy was his biological son. As the truth comes to light, Hayden learns that he was never Matthew’s father, sending him into a violent spiral that ultimately leads to a deadly confrontation.

During the climax of the mystery series, Hayden kills his mother, Gertrude Payne, before attempting to flee with Matthew. Sarah eventually stops him, ending the threat once and for all. With Hayden gone, David’s conviction is overturned and he is finally reunited with his son.

The closing moments focus on the family’s attempts to move forward after years of trauma. Matthew struggles to reconcile his life as Theo with the memories of his real family, while David begins rebuilding the relationship that was stolen from him. Meanwhile, Rachel ends up publishing a book about the case.
