
The finale of the 2025 spy thriller Undercover High School left fans looking for answers about a potential second instalment for the K-drama. If you are one of those fans, here’s all the information we have about a possible season 2 of Undercover High School.
Directed by Choi Jung-in, known for the hit 2024 period K-drama Knight Flower, Undercover High School tells the story of National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent Jeong Hae-seong (played by Seo Kang-joon) who goes undercover as a student to track down late Emperor Gojong’s missing gold, which is hidden at Byeongmun High School.
According to Nielsen Korea, the finale episode of the show garnered an average viewership rating of 5.4 per cent.
What happens in the finale of the K-drama Undercover High School?

In the finale episode of the K-drama, Seo Myung-joo’s (played by Kim Shin-rok) right-hand man, Park Jae-mun (played by Park Jin-u), testifies against the former in court. Eventually, Myung-joo is found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Elsewhere, Hae-seong finally lays his father (played by Jung Jae-hyun) to rest and holds a funeral to bid him farewell. Later, when he returns home and goes through his father’s belongings, Hae-seong spots the North Star sticker that his father had asked him to track during his childhood. Hae-seong lifts the attic floorboards beneath the star, revealing late Emperor Gojong’s missing gold.
The show ends with Hae-seong informing NIS that he has finally completed the mission.
Could the K-drama Undercover High School return for season 2?
At the time of writing, there is no official news of the K-drama Undercover High School season 2 being in the works.
However, fans are hopeful that the makers of the show might announce a second instalment to delve deeper into protagonist Hae-seong’s next adventures as an NIS agent.
