The Prince and Princess of Wales have paid emotional tribute to victims and survivors of the Holocaust during a series of engagements to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

Kate was seen embracing guests at a special reception held today (27 January) for around 50 survivors which marked 80 years since the liberation of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

In an address at a service at the Guildhall in London, William said of the survivors, “their bravery, in sharing with us the most harrowing moments of their lives, are extremely powerful and ensure we never forget. I ensure them - we never will.”
