Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was pleased for his players after victory at Brentford.
Kai Havertz struck late for the only goal of the game.
Arteta said, "We are so happy, we fully deserved to win. We competed extraordinarily well, we should have scored much earlier but this is a really tough place to come.
"We showed a lot of resilience and belief and were really patient when we needed to be."
On Havertz, he added: "You can see how much they love him and what he brings to the team. [The goal] was at the perfect time and it was perfect execution as big players do."
