Wolves boss Bruno Lage says Diego Costa will be stronger for his hit out in defeat to West Ham.
Costa had over a half-hour in the 2-0 defeat.
Lage said, "It is hard to take the result. We had two good chances. The first time West Ham went to our goal they scored. We tried to bring more energy in the second half.
"It is clear to understand that we are a different team when we play with a striker. Diego [Costa] had a big impact. We need him. He had a good chance to score from Adama's [Traore] cross and he can give us a different dynamic. It is a big difference when we play with him or a man in the box.
"We need strikers. It is not an excuse because we are in a position where when we get good chances we have to take them and change the momentum. We are completely different when we have a striker in our team.
"I think that the people [Wolves board] trust in us and I continue to work. When we have started with a striker we have never lost a game in the Premier League. It is a club problem. When we have the ball we play well and create chances. He [Diego Costa] has had two weeks of work. We need him to be fit as soon as possible."
