Wolves are lodging an appeal after Diego Costa suffered a work permit rejection.
The free agent is yet to arrive in England, but he has convinced management to offer him a one-year contract.
Diego Costa is wanted by Wolves after Sasa Kalajdzic suffered a knee injury on debut last weekend.
The Athletic's David Ornstein reports: "Wolves move for Diego Costa in balance after work permit application rejected.
"33yo did not get enough points & Wolves are appealing decision. Striker scheduled to arrive late tonight to undergo medical tomorrow - appeal happening in unison."
