
SANDAKAN: A 32-year-old foreign housewife died after allegedly jumping from the seventh floor of a shopping mall, here, Monday.
Sandakan District Police Chief ACP George Abd Rakman said the incident happened about 12.25pm, with mall management alerting authorities two minutes after discovering the victim.
“The victim was found unconscious and lying face-down on the fourth-floor balcony,” George said in a statement.

George said initial investigations suggest the woman was under stress due to domestic issues.
Firefighters were called to assist in retrieving the body from a hard-to-reach area. The victim was sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital for post-mortem.
Police are treating the case as a sudden death and have urged the public to refrain from speculation.
