SANDAKAN: An 84-year-old woman was found burned to death in the living room of her home at Jalan Fook Hin, Mile 12, after it was destroyed in a fire on Monday night.
Firefighters received an emergency call at 8.38pm and dispatched 11 personnel with three engines to the scene, about 16km away.
The victim was discovered trapped inside the house during operations. Her remains were handed over to police.
The cause of the fire and estimated losses are still under investigation, while a video of the incident has circulated online.
