Woman and child die after being pulled from water at London park

• A mother and her young son died after getting into “difficulty” in the water at Elthorne Park in Ealing, west London.
• Metropolitan Police were called to the park just before 4:30pm on Saturday, where both individuals were recovered from the water.
• Despite efforts, both the woman and child were pronounced dead at the scene.
• Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway, but initial indications suggest their deaths are not being treated as suspicious.
