Woman and five children missing in Bentong since Monday

A mother and her five children have disappeared from their Bentong home, prompting a police search and public appeal for information.

KUANTAN: A woman and her five children have been reported missing in Taman Orkid, Bentong, since Monday.

Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the woman’s 43-year-old husband lodged a report at 7.34 pm that same day.

He said the woman, M Rekha, 41, and her children, aged 4 to 19, were last seen at their home in Taman Orkid.

“The man noticed his wife and children were missing from home around 6.30 am on Monday and, unable to find them, filed a police report,” he said in a statement today.

Zaiham urged anyone with information about the missing individuals to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the Bentong District Police Headquarters Control Centre at 09-2231999.
