A heart-wrenching post on FB yesterday detailed the discovery of a woman and her two small kids -one being a newborn- taking shelter at LRT Setiawangsa.

The samaritan, Nurul Izni, initially found the kids sitting on a bench, with the boy trying his best to feed his sister. Their mother, at the time, had left to buy a few things.

Horrified by the baby’s condition, Izni and her husband stuck around to help and even offered the boy some food and drinks.

Moments after the mother appeared, it was apparent that she had been abused by her husband and mother-in-law.

It’s believed that they were kicked out of the house and had nowhere to go. The mother initially decided to head back to her hometown in Kedah, but couldn’t afford a taxi fare.

Those living in the area tried to locate the trio, but it seemed that they were taken back in.
