Woman appears in court over Covent Garden stabbing as more details emerge

  • Stella Gollovena, 47, has been charged with four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • She is accused of stabbing four men in the back with scissors during an incident in Covent Garden, London, on Wednesday lunchtime.
  • Police were flagged down in Endell Street by one of the injured victims, leading to Gollovena being chased and Tasered.
  • The four male victims, aged between 34 and 56, were treated in hospital for stab wounds but have since been discharged as their injuries were not life-threatening.
  • Gollovena appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until her next hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 3 September.
