PETALING JAYA: Police have detained a woman for reportedly threatening to burn down her ex-boyfriend’s family workshop and damage his property, The Star Online reports.
According to Johor Baru North deputy district police chief Supt Fariz Ammar Abdullah, the woman initially sent her ex-boyfriend’s family a video clip of an individual splashing what was believed to be petrol in front of the shop.
The threat prompted the elder sister of her ex-boyfriend to lodge a police report.
A police team was dispatched to the family’s home in Taman Perling.
Investigators found the woman in front of the family’s house and she had rammed into the front gate of the house, causing it to dislodge and fell on a car.
The woman then sped off into the Second Link Highway. However, she was picked up at the Lima Kedai toll plaza, some 15km from the house.
Fariz said the woman tested positive for benzodiazepines.
